Magnaflow's Stainless Steel Catback system for the 1999-04 Ford F-150 Lightning with the Supercharged 5.4L V8, Standard Cab/Short Bed features 2.5" mandrel-bent tubing with dual same side exit in front of the rear tire 3.5" slash, double-wall, polished stainless steel tips.

The Ford Lightning is a good example of the necessity for a quality testing procedure. At first glance, you would think that the 5.4L Lightning would benefit from the same mods as the 5.4L F-Series trucks - not the case! The Lightning performed better when configured with 2.5" mandrel-bent tubing than it did with the 3". With the smaller tubing the Lightning kicked out an additional 16.6 horsepower and 13.1 ft-lbs of torque!
